Every once in a while the stars align and we get to not only have a great time, but also support something that matters. We are wildly excited to be showing our support for Party for a Purposes's annual event at The Mansion this coming weekend.

The LEGENDARY original lineup of bargain music reunites!!!!! One of the best bands to walk this earth!

Bargain Music in 1999 at the Coach House in San Juan Capistrano on tour with Buju Banton was one of our first memories of moving to the mainland and still great friends of ours, I danced on a table during that show, I know it sound weird but it was good trust me ;) the original lineup reunited for a show last night, I was there in spirit!!!

Pepper June 12th at the Coach House in San Juan Capistrano

So we got some news for all you…

Pepper will be playing a not-so-surprise show next Sunday, June 12th at the Coach House in San Juan Capistrano. That's right!  We'll be joining the Mad Caddies, Josh Fischel, and Analog Boy for a very special evening of music.  But wait, this is no regular party – we are raging for a cause!  On May 13th, two of our very close and dear friends, Sally Nobbes and Sean Whisner, lost everything but the clothes on their back in a house fire in Sunset Beach.

Sally and Sean have always been there and supported Pepper, now it's our turn to give a little back!  Please join us for a night of fun, music, and a community of people ready to help them on the road to recovery. The party kicks off at 6pm, here's what you need to know:

I love Poke!

Auuuright!!!!

This Wednesday April 20^th is the second annual “I love Poke Festival”. This festival is a celebration of island life and culture, as well as where 15 local chefs compete for the title of Best Poke in San Diego. Nuts Brah!!! 

Come check it out and  spend the evening at the beautiful Bali Hai Restaurant right on the San Diego Bay overlooking downtown San Diego entertained by live music and dancing by New Zealand’s Kahurangi Maori Dance group.  Guest also get to sample island fare from 30 local restaurants and local celebrity judges will vote for the best poke.   There will be a silent auction and raffle full of prizes full of fine art from Wyland and surf photographer John Rowe, SUP surfboards, Del Mar Marriott hotel packages, signed Kala ukulele by Jake Shimabukuru, several restaurant gift cards, and much more! 

  

The best part of the night is that a portion of the proceeds will go directly to our 501 (c) 3 non-profit foundation called The Kona-California Scholarship.  Our good friends started this foundation 6 years ago to help the youth from Hawaii attend college in California. To date we have given away over $15,000 and we rely on events such as this. We are thrilled to be a part of this event and would love it if you could join us on Wednesday.

Tanks Eh!!!

Such huge Mahaloz to everyone that came out and joined us for any of the acoustic shows, physically and online! It was something super different than we've ever done and  you guys brought that endless energy and enthusiasm as always. 

I wasn't 100% sure how our show would translate acoustic but a couple tweaks to some old favorites and a handful of songs that had never been played before live and the shows for sure hit their stride. We recorded all the shows so we'll be sifting through and you can expect an acoustic album in the near future. The online stream we did at the last show was HUGE, you guys are amazing for tuning in all over the world, alright we'll be in touch, heading off to the 311 cruise to set sail, much love and aloha,
